Carbon and water footprint measurement
The first step was to determine our greenhouse gas emission sources in order to know that our carbon footprint corresponds is that of 2,7 kilogramos per kilogram of green coffee. Among the main measures taken in the mill are the implementation of fluorescent lighting instead of incandecent, the use of a water pump to recirculate the water used for transporting coffee. Additionally, the majority of our coffee is sun-dried and the biomass is reused as organic fertilizer.
